Job Description:

We build complex project management web applications in PHP using the Laravel framework. We’re looking for an experienced developer with excellent problem solving and analytical skills who is passionate about clean, efficient, well-documented code, progressive, standards-based user interfaces, and making great software.

  • Work closely with the requirements team and software architects to analyze and translate requirements into detailed design documentation including rationale for key design decisions, database and class diagrams, and UI mock-ups
  • Translate application designs into clean, efficient PHP and JavaScript code while ensuring cross-browser compatibility, performance and robustness, and adhering to coding best practices and current web standards
  • Work closely with client management team to create scripts and reports in response to user requests which are often time sensitive
  • Obtain and maintain expert level knowledge of our products, as well as coding standards and practices, to assist the rest of the development team with design, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting questions and issues on a regular basis.
  • Collaborate with the test team to ensure effective testing and on-time delivery of quality functionality
  • Manage personal schedule of projects, deadlines and requests without oversight
  • Work effectively with management, customers and technical staff in analyzing situations and resolving issues

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of web application development experience
  • Strong PHP development skills, including experience with OOP and MVC-based frameworks (especially Laravel)
  • Strong JavaScript development skills, including experience with jQuery or similar frameworks (especially Angular)
  • Experience with database design and complex queries, specifically using MySQL
  • Experience with version control, specifically Git
  • Experience in designing complex, data driven web applications
  • Experience in design documentation using UML, including use case models and database, class, and process flow diagrams
  • Experience designing intuitive user interfaces (especially with Balsamiq Mockups) is a plus
  • Experience with project management a major plus
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in an agile, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience working in a collaborative, team-driven software development environment

Job Description:

Serve as a member of a dedicated team to provide engineering and program support anticipating the needs necessary to carry on the endeavors of a major Navy program office.  Provide expertise as it relates to requirements, design, test and evaluation, systems engineering, continuous process improvement and program management leveraging from experience in other programs/areas of study.  Act as an engineering agent for the government on technical and programmatic matters as it relates to the development, execution and reporting of engineering aspects of the program. Collect and develop program status and metrics updates for external program reporting.  This includes but is not limited to:

  • Develop, maintain, issue and track engineering weekly updates for the program manager including agenda, minutes and action items as required
  • Develop and review documentation, requirements, and supporting material for technical accuracy and associated impacts
  • Identify and incorporate any changes technical documentation according to technical or schedule needs
  • Integrate activities with other organizations and to ensure compliance with requirement verification
  • Format specifications, directives, and correspondence in accordance with Navy and local requirements for the team
  • Perform cost/benefit analysis of alternatives, technical evaluation of documentation, and problem resolution

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in engineering best practices, strategy, governance, planning, design, implementation, or operations roles
  • BS in System, Mechanical, Electrical or Naval/Marine Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Ability to work in a team environment with little direction, and the ability to work independently while prioritizing and supporting multiple tasks
  • Experience with DoD 5000 series and SECNAV instructions
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and familiarity with MS Project. Experience with Visio and Access are also considered a plus
  • Secret clearance required

Job Description:

Serve as a member of a dedicated team to provide business and financial management support in cost estimation, preparation and justification in all areas of DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) to a major U.S. Navy program office. Understands funding execution across all funding appropriations (i.e. Shipbuilding & Conversion, Navy (SCN), Other Procurement, Navy (OPN), Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E), Operations & Maintenance, Navy (OM&N), and Foreign Military Sales (FMS)). Assists in the preparation of various presentations, mid-year reviews, quarterly execution reviews, budget exhibits and briefings and has the ability to create and assist in the preparation of various funding document execution using Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Program Resource Integrated Solutions Management System (PRISMS).

Basic Qualifications:

  • All years of experience are being considered showing the capability to provide oversight and support for a full range of budget functions, applying an expert knowledge of budget and program principles, policies, procedures, concepts, standards, terminology, financial management, and business operation systems to execute assignments and projects, resolving issues and providing authoritative financial analyses.
  • Understanding of Statutory and Regulatory Reporting, as well as Acquisition Reporting per DoD 5000 Series.

  • Providing financial status reports and assessments to identify program financial resources and shortfalls navigations and expenditures data
  • Assisting in the preparation of task planning sheets (TPS)
  • Assisting in the reconciliation of financial transactions
  • Assisting in Navy ERP to include work breakdown structure/project structure maintenance and cost-planning maintenance
  • Assisting with budget formulation and submission
  • Bachelor’s degree (desired)
